Jacob Landis was born with normal hearing but slowly went deaf between the ages of two and ten. In 1999, Jacob received a cochlear implant and rejoined the hearing world. Since 2013, Jacob has ridden his bicycle across the country three times, totaling nearly 20,000 miles to raise
awareness and money for cochlear implants. So far, Jacob’s Ride has helped finance fourteen cochlear implant surgeries.
